How far are We from Mass Extinction

Something was killing the frogs of Central America, and pretty fast. One of the first people to notice was Karen Lips, an American studying amphibians in a rainforest there. In 1993, she was shocked to discover that dozens of frogs had vanished from her research site in Costa Rica. When she moved to Panama to continue her research, she found that the frogs there were dying too. And no one could explain why.
By 2006, whatever was killing the frogs had swept across central Panama. Within a few years, dozens of amphibians had disappeared from the wild, including the Panamanian golden frog, famous for being so toxic that the poison on the skin of just one animal can kill 1,000 mice.
The recent demise of the frog and the other amphibians in Central America is just part of a large phenomenon that’s being called the Sixth Extinction.
Today, extinction rates among nearly all the groups of plants and animals are soaring. A century from now, pandas, tigers, and rhinos may exist only in zoos. Scientists say that within this century, 20 to 50 percent of all plant and animal species might disappear.
Under normal circumstances, species rarely become extinct. Scientists estimate that one amphibian species disappears every 1000 years. But sometimes, the world changes very suddenly. In these rare moments, species disappear much more quickly. These events are known as mass extinctions and scientists say that we may be headed toward one.

Science-Lesson 1-Chapter 12 Notes

Chapter 12 Lesson 1

  • Transpiration- loss of water vapor through stomata of a leaf
  • Photosynthesis- the process in which plants use light energy to produce food.
  • Respiration- the process by which organisms break down food to release energy.
  • Carbon dioxide needed for photosynthesis enters leaves through the stomata. Water vapor escapes during this process.
  • Chlorophyll in plants captures sunlight. Photosynthesis splits the water molecules and makes glucose and oxygen, which are needed by all organisms.
  • Through respiration, energy stored in glucose becomes available for cell activities.

Each stomata is surrounded by two guard cells that control the size of the opening. Water moves into the cell and out of the cell by osmosis. When guard cells absorb water, they swell and the stomata opens, letting carbon dioxide in. Water vapor escapes during the process. When guard cells absorb water, they swell and the stomata opens, letting carbon dioxide. Water vapor escapes during the process. When guard cells lose water, they relax and the stomata closes.
Chlorophyll is a pigment that traps light energy from plants to use in making food. Photosynthesis is the process in which plants use light energy to make their own food.
During photosynthesis, a plant makes food from light energy, carbon dioxide, and water in a series of chemical reactions. Some of the light energy trapped in the chlorophyll is used to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. Light energy is then used to join hydrogen and carbon dioxide together to form a new sugar molecule. The sugar formed is used to form glucose, the food a plant uses for maintenance and growth. The process is illustrated in the following equation:
6CO2 + 6H2O + light energy = chlorophyll, sugar, and oxygen

Respiration is the process by which organisms break down food to release energy. Respiration that uses oxygen to break down food chemically is called aerobic respiration. Cellular respiration occurs in the mitochondria of all eukaryotic cells. Plant and animals need energy to build up and repair their cells, tissues, and organs. Sugar produced during photosynthesis by plant cells is used to make cellulose to build wall cells. Plants also use energy from the food they make during photosynthesis for growth and reproduction.

How to Find the Probability

Probability

Probability is the measure of how likely an event is to occur. It is expressed as a number between 0 and 1. Probabilities can be impossible, unlikely, somewhat likely, unlikely, highly likely, or certain.
A fish tank has 40 orange fish, 4 blue fish, and 6 black fish. A fish is chosen from the tank at random. Describe the likelihood that the chosen fish will be a) orange or b) yellow.
Most of the fish are orange. Only a few are either blue or black. So, it is highly likely that an orange fish will be chosen.
None of the fish are yellow. So, it is impossible that one will be chosen.
To find the probability, P, of an event where each outcome is equally likely, use this formula:
P=number of favorable outcomes/number of possible outcomes
This chart describes the fish in the tank.

Solid Color
Striped
Orange
35
5
Blue

What is the possibility that a fish chosen at random from the tank will be a striped orange fish?

The number of favorable outcomes is the number of striped orange fish: 5.

The number of possible outcomes is the total number of fish in the tank: 35+5+4+2+4=50

Write the number of favorable outcomes over the possible outcomes.

The probability of choosing a striped orange fish is 1/10

Shadowblade-Comic Story Script-New!

Shadowblade Vol.1 No.2

When we last left off, Toby (aka Shadowblade) was trapped in a dark orb, an orb that generates darkness, pure darkness. Darkness that was created when the apple of Eden was bitten by the first humans, Adam and Eve. Toby was chained in chaotic chains that glew with the dark substance that it was made out of. Toby was crying. Even when his father mysteriously disappeared and left him fatherless for all his life, he had never cried. Never cried when bullies took his money every single day and left him hungry until dinner time. Now Toby was crying. He was crying because he had failed to save the world when he took the job of saving the world. He had barely become a hero for 2 days before getting caught by the first super-powered bad guy he had faced. Well, it wasn’t his fault because Toby’s true potential was undeveloped and un coordinated enough to face off more challenging and dangerous enemies. The most important thing, however, Toby was crying because he had failed to save the people he had cared about the most, his mom and Hope, the people that he had grew up with. Anyway, Toby was just there thinking about his failure and how he would never see his loved ones again when he heard a voice that he recognized completely, having to hear the voice in his dreams. “Why are you here, sulking away, Chosen One?” asked the mage of Hope. Toby snapped at him viciously. “You’re the one who got me into this mess!” Toby exclaimed. The mage of Hope sighed, he first snapped the chains that were imprisoning the child and asked, “Now do you trust me, child?” Toby sighed and thought over the decision of trusting this stranger that had brought him all this mess and danger to his family and loved ones. Himself, he had not cared about at all, for he had learned that it was important to live a life of unselfishness, he thought this because he was a true believer of God. He was a believer of God that no one had ever seen in a long time.”Fine!” Toby spat. The mage looked at Toby uncertainly. “Well, in order to free yourself from this dark orb, you will have to craft an ancient weapon that purifies all darkness and all dark material, in order to do this, you will have to travel back into time to get the pieces for you can not venture into the real world for multiple reasons, you will have to travel to the time of Blackbeard to collect the pieces in the Caribbean.” The mage flashed his staff and everything started to become fuzzy. “Also, just a tip, make sure you show Blackbeard as much respect as possible because, I’m just telling you that Blackbeard has a bad temper mind you.”
Toby landed in a tavern back to full costume. The only thing that Toby’s costume that was different was that he was now wearing a cloak and a cowl that shadows his face. He landed inside the tavern just in time to see Blackbeard rush in with Spanish guards right behind him. “Freeze, Blackbeard!” said the captain of the group that was chasing Blackbeard, hoping to catch him. The mage of Hope said in Toby’s mind, “The weapon that you are looking for is the legendary twin jade blades. They are a pair of blades made out of pure and solid jade, the jade is purified since the beginning of time, when evil and sin was unleashed into the world. Blackbeard is part of the chosen warriors of his time, he is the model of Anger, he is the only one with the map to the jade pieces and the only one with the knowledge of where you must take the pieces once you have all the pieces. You must protect Blackbeard at all costs until he tells you the secret cave to where to craft your weapon/tool.” “What a coincidence!” thought Toby as he threw knives dipped in sleeping potion at the guards and yelled at the guards exclaiming, “You don’t touch him!” Once all the guards were down and doused with sleeping draught, he looked at Blackbeard and said, “Blackbeard, I need your help. I also need to tell you all about what I need you to do in private.” Blackbeard looked surprised at this remark and replied, “We can talk this through on board of the Queen Anne’s Revenge.”
Once they were on board, Toby told him about the mages and the test he had to take to prove that he was the Chosen One, as much as he didn’t trust the pirate, he had to remember that Blackbeard was also a representative of the older mages and he had to pass a minor test in order to prove himself worthy of the title. Blackbeard listened through all this and he nodded and recalled some parts of this himself. He was not sure of whether or not to trust this stranger that had coincidentally appeared at the tavern and exactly at the right place at the right time and took out all the guards that were chasing him. In his opinion, nothing but a trained member of the Temper could do that, he was about to attack, acting to his thoughts before he saw what was on the stranger’s hand, it was the Legendary gauntlets of Eden, gauntlets that can create anything out of image. He relented and took his hand from his sword, he said, “Aye, mate, but first you’re going to need a new set of swords, I have any extra set of rapiers, the lightest and the most fastest ones.” He then came out with Toby and announced to the crew of Queen Anne’s Revenge, “Attention! I have recruited a new member to our crew, The Shadow Warrior! Congratulations to this warrior for becoming a member of this cheerful crew!”
Indeed did Blackbeard keep his word, he started immediately raiding ships that contained pieces of the jade pieces. He took ship after ship. He took a variety of ships and prisoners and along the way of helping Toby gain his jade pieces, Blackbeard became richer and richer and richer. He was known all over the seas for his cruelty to his prisoners, and he gained an even bigger reputation after he took the ships that were containing the jade jewels so easily and effectively that the governments started sending convoys to guard the ships and escort it safely to their destinations. Yet, the government still did not succeed, it just gave Blackbeard more and more loot to gain. He was known to be the richest pirate of the seas. Most of the effort was thanks to Toby, for every ship that Queen Anne’s Revenge handicapped, Toby was the first to board the ship and take down the fighters that were trying to kill him. Even though the enemy on the ships were trying to kill him, Toby never killed anyone that he was fighting, he would aim for his enemies’ arms and legs, injuring and handicapped them enough not for them to resist the raiding and the boarding of the ships.
Finally, Toby and Blackbeard had captured all the jade pieces except for one. That one was the biggest and the piece that contained the most of the twin rapier’s powers. However, that piece was located on the most powerfulest ship that the British could ever supply. It was a man o war, a ship with twice as many cannons and shots as a frigate, Queen Anne’s Revenge was nothing compared to it. When Blackbeard found out that that was the ship containing the next jade piece, he was so delighted! If he was able to capture that ship, he would be the terror of the seas. He then later found out that the government had authorized the same ship that they were looking for to go and capture him and the Queen Anne’s. Blackbeard was happy beyond relief. This meant that he didn’t have to go over to the ship and fight them on their own homeland, they would have to come over to him and the Queen Anne’s and fight them on their own turf. This meant that now, Blackbeard would have the home field advantage. However, when Blackbeard finally saw the man o war coming towards them and he considered the size if the ship, he looked at the ship that was probably their doom with awe. Then all of a sudden, the ship rocked and the sails ripped and caught on fire, the mortars on the ship had fired and hit the ship. He gave the orders to fire back with his own mortars, hitting the ship and taking a large chunk of their mast. The battle raged on, the Queen Anne’s was almost handicapped and taken down and the ship was low on ammunition. However, using the ship’s last heavy shot, the Queen Anne’s finally took down the enemy ship. Toby boarded the ship, cutting and injuring every single sailor he saw. Blackbeard himself came on board to fight. Several pistol shots rang out and Toby was too busy fighting to see a black shot hit Blackbeard, Toby looked on in shock as Blackbeard looked down and saw that he was hit, sure, he was hit at least 6 times in multiple places but it never really hit him critically. With Blackbeard’s last breath, he took out something from his pocket and threw at Toby. Toby caught the piece of paper and saw that it was a map with a note attached. He was still in shock when a sailor knocked him out with the butt of his sword.
Toby woke up in a dungeon just as a warden appeared and said, “C’mon you vermin, it’s time for your hanging. Toby wearly went outside and grimaced as the sunlight hit his face. He brought and tied with a noose around his neck and his hands tied up behind his back. The prosecutor said, “We come here this evening to witness the hanging and the execution of a traitor and a pirate. We hang this pirate for the murder of millions of sailors. We now will unleash the loose.”  All of this while he was talking, Toby slowly cut of the rope that was binding his hands together with a hidden blade generated by his gauntlet. He then threw a knife at the guards making them crazy and making them fight themselves. He then ran to the port/dock where there were countless numbers of frigates guarding the dock. He silently boarded one of the ships, took out the guards and sailed away, freeing the frigate’s prisoners, making them his crew. He appointed part of his crew as  advisors for the safety and welfare of his crew. He explained what he was going to do as he was captain. He called a meeting one night and pulled out Blackbeard’s map and pointed at an island that was containing the last piece of the jade swords and said, “I want a plan to capture this fort and destroy this legendary ship. You idiots might think I’m crazy but I’m not, I’m really serious about raiding this fort. I will accept any plans to raid this fort.” Then the ground shook. “What was that?!” exclaimed one of the advisors. His name is Eye. Toby climbed up the stairs of the cabin into the ship’s main deck and exclaimed, “What the hell is going on here?!” He stopped in mid-sentence when he saw the sea monster that was angry because of some carelessly thrown harpoons that were supposed to catch dinner for the crew members of the ship. Toby immediately took action and exclaimed, “Well what are you waiting for, fire the cannons!” The cannons fired but shocked the whole crew when the sea monster ate the cannon shot and looked fine. However, after a few moments, the sea monster exploded, causing sea monster gore to splatter over the ship. “Well, now that that’s over, every one to bed, so set the anchor!” Toby exclaimed. “We have a long day tomorrow and our first fort raid will be tomorrow!” Everyone onboard the ship went to their quarters while Toby sat down near the wheel and examined the map that Blackbeard gave him. You might wonder what the note said but all it said was. The crafter is on the island. That was all the note said. Toby sat there  thinking what the note might mean.
The next morning, Toby started off steering the ship towards the direction of the fort that they were trying to take. The journey took 1 month and that 1 month was peaceful, no ship raids, no more bloody monsters that come out of nowhere and attacking the ship. Toby also gave the ship a name,The Hopeful Journey. One month later, Toby started activating his ultimate plan. First he threw multiple rockets in the sky once he was near the fort. Then, the rockets attracted the legendary ship, making the investigation to find out what the noise was all about. Then, The Hopeful Journey attacked the man o war, handicapped it quickly and they set out to fight. Toby boarded the ship along with his crew, for he knew that they were outnumbered and out-gunned and that they would need all the help they can get to defeat the crew of the man o war. You might wonder how the Hopeful had taken out the man o war so quickly and effectively that it was like the man o war was a sailor boat instead of a 7 yard tall and 89 ft long warship. It was the determination of Toby and the spirit of the crew that enables them to work effectively as a perfect team. Toby and the crew took out all the crew and took them prisoner planning to free them as soon as they had captured the fort that the pieces were fully complete.
The next part of Toby’s plan was that he had to take out the nearby warships which he did by dividing his crew and controlling his new man o war that he had just captured. The man o war would distract the nearby warships while Hopeful would go on and attack the main fort. The plan was a brilliant and effective plan as the crew and the captain worked in perfect union to take the fort. They say that hard work pays off, well that was true because Toby took the fort and took the fort in a matter of 2 hours. The next step of Toby’s plan was to go to the mage and representative of Balance to craft the sword. The whole process took 3 days. When the sword was complete, Toby addressed the crew, “Crew, I have to say goodbye for I am to go my separate ways and complete my own different quest.” The crew sniffed with anxiety for they had only succeeded in taking the fort with Toby’s leadership. Toby continued, “I’m putting in charge of The Hopeful Journey Eye who has the nerve and leadership to control a man o war and taking on hundreds of warships and destroying them in a matter of hours. For the man o war, I’m naming it Graceful Warbird and putting in charge of it, Unbi Walker who has shown intelligence by helping carry out my plans to take this fort.

With that, Toby appeared back at the orb of darkness, with the chains at his feet. The mage of Hope appeared, “Congratulations Tobias Astroson in completing your quest to obtain the twin jade rapiers. In order to escape this prison, you must cut the chains, in order to show defiance and your courage. Now, I must leave you to do the rest of the job by yourself and good luck. And Toby…. I’m proud to have chosen you and that you and no other is the Chosen One. You are a real model of courage and spirituality.” These words that the mage spoke of gave Toby hope and comfort as he took a deep breath and cut the chains of darkness in half and felt comfort as he appeared back in the real world. As he escaped, his costume changed into a more stealthier costume and suit. Toby smiled and thought of Hope as he sneaked to the whereabouts of the Illuminati Champion. He appeared bravely when he appeared and challenged him. “We shall settle this with one blow.” The Champion smiled in approval and drew his dark blade as Toby drew his rapier. They charged at each other determined to settle this with one fatal blow. The Champion’s blow was full of rage and anger while Toby’s blow was calm and peaceful and defensive. Toby’s blow was true and the blow that Toby gave to the Champion destroyed all of his dark power, for the sword had the power to purify darkness and anger. Then, Toby held up his sword and sealed the Champion away, never again would he use his dark powers and Toby smiled and knew everything was alright as he transformed back and walked home anxious to tell his mom everything that had happened.

Science-The Basics of Viruses

Imagine that something doesn’t grow.respond, or eat, yet reproduces. This something which appears to be neither living or dead is a virus. A virus is a nonliving particle consisting of of a core of hereditary material surrounded by a protein coat. Viruses can reproduce only inside a living cell. Viruses are so small that scientists must use an extremely powerful microscope to see them.
Viruses are unlike living things. Some viruses can be made into crystals and stored in a jar for years. Then, if they enter an organism, they may quickly reproduce and cause new infections, often causing damage to the organism. Viruses, therefore, have a major impact on the living world.
Viruses are classified by their shape, the kind of hereditary material they have, the kind of organism that they infect, and their method of reproduction. The protein covering the viruses are often named for the disease that they cause, such as the polio virus, or the organ or tissue that they infect.
When most people hear the word virus, they often relate it to a cold sore, a cold, and HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Mumps, measles, and the chicken pox are also diseases caused by viruses. A virus has to be inside a living cell to reproduce. The cell in which a virus destroys is called a host cell. Once a virus is in a host cell. It will act in two ways. It can either be active, or it can become latent and be an inactive part of the cell for a while.
If a virus enters the cell and becomes active right away, it causes the cell to make new viruses, which destroys the host cell. However, some viruses may be latent viruses. A latent viruses enters a bacteria cell and becomes part of the cell’s hereditary material without immediately destroying the cell or making new viruses. Latent viruses may appear to hide inside a host cell for many years. Then, at any time, the virus becomes active as it outlines the reproduction cycle of latent viruses.

Finally, viruses may cause diseases in plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, and protists. There are no antibiotic medications to cure viruses. But some viral diseases can be prevented by vaccines. A vaccine is made from damaged virus particles that can not cause diseases anymore. Vaccines have been created for measles, polio, chicken pox, and for bacterial diseases.

Religion-Jesus Christ Is risen from the dead

Early in the third day after Jesus’s Death on the Cross, some of Jesus’s disciples went to his tomb and found
the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. In his Gospel, Mark identifies these as the women disciples Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome. A young man in a white robe was at the tomb and said to them, “Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised…. Go and tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going before you in Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you.’” (Mark 16:6-7). The young man referred to here was really an angel.
At first all of this was unbelieveable to Jesus’s disciples. Then the Risen Christ appeared to Mary Magdalene and to some of the other disciples, showing them his wounds and even eating with the disciples. What an extraordinary experience it must have been to see the Risen Christ alive and full of glory! But still some who have heard about these appearances could not believe that Jesus has risen.
Then, as the eleven Apostles were gathered a meal, the Risen Christ appeared to them all together. He urged those who were weak in faith to now believe in him and in his Resurrection. He then said to his Apostles, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be
condemned.” (Mark 16-15-16)
The Risen Christ also told the Apostles that they would be able to so many things in his name, including driving out demons, speaking new languages, and healing the sick. He commissioned them, or sent them out, to carry the work of salvation and liberation that he had begun. Armed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they were to evangelize all people.

Grade 6-Math

Integers are numbers on a number line, as you may know. They can be positive or negative. Even though it is not common core, you can use this to help with surprise questions on the test.
Adding Integers
For problems that keep the same operation sign, add and keep the same signs. Remember: When adding negative integers, you can put the minus sign first so you don't forget it.
For problems that have different operation signs, subtract the numbers as if they were both positive, then use the sign of the number farther from zero.
Subtracting Integers
When subtracting integers, rewrite and use the addition of integers rules. If you are subtracting a negative integer, the two negatives are replaced by a positive sign because the opposite of negative is positive.
Multiplying Integers
positive × positive= positive
positive × negative= negative
negative × positive= negative
negative × negative= positive
Dividing Integers
positive ÷ positive= positive
positive ÷ negative= negative
negative ÷ positive= negative
negative ÷ negative = positive

Science-Grade 7 Notes Lesson 2

Chapter 11 Lesson 2

  1. Xylem-the tissue that is made up of tubular vessels that transport water and minerals up from the roots throughout the plant.
  2. Phloem-a plant tissue that is made up of tubular cells.
  3. Cambium-a tissue that produces new xylem and phloem cells.
  4. Stomata-the adaption of leaves is small pores in the leaf surfaces.
  5. Guard cells-the stomata that open and closes the pores.

Note

  • Roots absorb water and minerals, store food and anchor the plant.
  • Stems transport the food and water between roots and leaves to support the plant.
  • The palisade layer of leaves carries out photosynthesis. Xylem and phloem tissues are located in the spongy layer of the leaf.
  • Roots have vascular tissue to move water and minerals from the ground up through the stems to the leaves.
  • Each root system must support the plant parts that are above the ground-the stem, branches, and leaves of the tree, for example.
  • Roots also store food. When you eat carrots or beets, you eat roots made up of stored food.
  • The main functions of a stem are to support the plant and to allow movement of materials between leaves and roots. Some stems also allow them to store food.
  • Inside a leaf, a leaf has many different layers, it has a rows of closely packed cells just below the upper epidermis. Palisade cells and the lower epidermis is a layer of loosely arranged cells, the spongy layer, and many air spaces. Xylem and Phloem are located in these air spaces.

Grade 6-How to Correctly Find the Surface Area

Math- Surface Area and How to Find Them

As you know on the previous homework, you may not have understood it correctly. This would help you on the next homework about surface area.
Surface area is the area of the surface of a 3D figure. Surface area can be calculated by bring the shape to be transparent. This would help you note which side of the shape you did. For example, if you would be calculating the surface area of a rectangle, you would make it transparent. Then calculate the surface area. Then add. To find the surface area, you will have to make each side of the transparent figure look like a 2D figure.

This figure shows a transparent figure.

When you are writing your equations to solve each side of the shape, you must remember to multiply by 2. Then, you would not have to keep calculating the same side of the figure.

If there is a problem that does not show the shape in transparent. Draw a new shape you can clearly visualize so you can solve the problem.
For example:
A rectangle has a length of 6 in., a width of 8 in, a height of 1 in., what i the surface area of the figure?
You would have to write the following equations.

(6x8)2= ?
(6x1)2=?
(8x1)= ?

After that, you add your sub answer to get your final answer.

Religion-Jesus suffers for the sins of Humanity

After Jesus shared the Last Supper with his disciples, he went alone to a garden to pray to his Father. Jesus had given himself to his disciples in the Eucharist and was now preparing to give his life for all of humanity. He prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42) Jesus trusted in God his Father and knew God was with him in his suffering. As Jesus prayed he was in “such agony” that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground.
Later that night, Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus’s own Apostles betrayed Jesus in the garden by greeting him with a kiss. By this sign that he had arranged, Judas identified Jesus to those who had come to arrest him. These men took Jesus before the Sanhedrin, the supreme religious court of the Jews, and before Caiaphas, the high priest. Caiaphas said to Jesus, “I order you to tell us under the oath before the living God whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” (Matthew 26:63)
Jesus said to the priest, “You have said so.” (Matthew 26: 64). The high priest said, “He is blasphemed!” (Matthew 26:65). Caiaphas was accusing Jesus of blasphemy, of referring to God in a disrespectful way. And the rest replied, “He deserves to die!” (Matthew 26:66). Jesus was then taken before the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate. When Judas heard this, he regretted what he had done. Judas was so overtaken with grief that he went off and took his own life.

At first, Pontius Pilate wanted to release Jesus, but Pilate’s enemies accused him of trying to stir up a rebellion against the emperor. So Pilate decided to let the crowd decide Jesus’ fate. They shouted out for Jesus’s Crucifixion. And Thus, Pilate handed over Jesus over to them to be crucified.

Special- How to build an Effective Village in Clash of Clans (COC)

Clash of Clans is an game for your ios or android that enables you to apply strategy and probability. It may
not seem like it, but it is indeed true. You may not be the best player, you might be a noob, a beginner, or a novice who is just tired of losing trophies and getting de-ranked to lower leagues. Well, it has to depend on two things, who attacks you and how your village is organized.

Here are some rules that you need to follow in order to ever be good in COC:

  • Never leave you town hall on the outside, even if you surround it with defences, a quick rage and healing potion can easily grant that person a star and guarantees his/her victory.
  • Always upgrade your defences and barracks to the highest lvl possible before you upgrade your town hall.
  • Always use your walls to lead your opponents' troops into your traps.
  • When attacking, always make sure that you go for the town hall if it is on the outside. Always use the lightning potion to take out the mortars if you are using archers. (Mortars have less range than wizard towers)
  • Send in your Barbarian King as a last resort when attacking, it is useful for the King to fight during
    defence battles.
Now that you have the basics to Clash of Clans, you must learn how to build a good, strong base.  Your main goal for defence is to protect your loot and prevent other people from stealing your loot. The best way to do this, since you will most likely not have enough walls to protect your entire village is that you must always put your storages surrounded by walls. It is also usually a good idea to put it at the center along with your town hall. It is also a good idea if you put your mortar at the center. Since mortars have long range, they also have the least amount of health and are very vulnerable to lightning potions. 2 lightning potions can destroy a mortar. My village has a Barbarian King, Town Hall 7, dark elixir storage, mortar and 2 wizard towers at the center surrounded by my best walls. Here's the most important thing. Make sure that you have
at least two defence guarding the things that you might decide to put outside so that they could start dealing damage as soon as possible. Also, always put your army camps, barracks, spell factories, and clan castle on the outside because they usually have no use to you at all. Usually, you would put the clan castle within the walls, but thanks to the new update by Supercell, enemy troops can no longer steal loot from the clan castle. That is all the essentials you need in order to have a good village in Clash of Clans.
You can join clan Aftermath using the advanced search options: War frequency: Always. Trophies required: 800. In the clan, you should see at least one of these elders: Naruto, King Zeus, Raymond.
Thanks.

The Eucharist- The Sacrament of Sacraments

The Eucharist is the source and summit of all Christian life. However, the Eucharist is also the most confusing
and the most complicated of all sacraments. This article will only go over and review the basics of the Eucharist.
The first thing that Catholics must understand is that the Eucharist is truly the Body and Blood of Christ. The Sacrament of Eucharist does not represent any symbols but it is truly and really the Body and Blood of Christ but just in the form of bread and wine. In the Eucharist they have become Christ- body and blood, soul and divinity. Jesus himself told us that, "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I give is my flesh for the life of the world." (John 6:51)
He went on to say, "Unless you have eaten the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink." (John 6:53-55)
As Catholics, we believe that the celebration of the Eucharist makes present to us the sacrifice Jesus offered once and for all on the cross. At the Eucharist, we remember Good Friday not merely as a story or an event from the past, but the sacrifice of Jesus is a mystery; it is more than words can say. It is a mystery we remember and make present each time we celebrate the Eucharist.
